Lisa-Jackson-pic smallBefore gaining a post-graduate diploma in clinical hypnotherapy in 2006, Lisa spent 17 years working as a journalist for national magazines such as Cosmopolitan and Zest, so she fully understands the pressures of a frenetic, deadline-driven working environment. Lisa specialises in weight management, fitness motivation, smoking cessation, fertility, performance anxiety, stress reduction, HypnoBirthing, nail biting and phobias and uses a solution-focused approach, whereby clients commit to making achievable changes at every session that are reinforced through self-hypnosis.

Lisa is very caring and encouraging, and aware that her clients are time-pressed, so she aims to get the maximum results in the minimum possible time. Most issues can be resolved in six to eight sessions (except for stopping smoking which is a single two-hour session). Lisa is a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register and the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and so adheres to a strict code of conduct that emphasises confidentiality and ethical practice.

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT AND FITNESS MOTIVATION
Lisa is a weight-control expert with a number of years’ experience in this field, having used hypnotherapy herself to lose 3.5st. The author of two books, Adore Yourself Slim (Simon & Schuster) and Running Made Easy (which has sold over 100,000 copies and is Britain’s best-selling beginners’ running book), she is frequently quoted in the national press. All weight-loss clients are given a complimentary copy of Adore Yourself Slim, which comes with a free hypnosis CD. Despite being a fitness-phobe until the age of 30, Lisa has now run over 90 marathons and is a regular motivational speaker at The Vitality Show and BE:FIT. She is Contributing Editor to Women’s Running magazine.

STOPPING SMOKING
Lisa’s unique Stop Smoking Today programme is a single two-hour session. It tackles smoking through hypnosis and a process of finding alternative coping strategies. A former smoker herself, Lisa has helped numerous clients to quit permanently and easily. She has a very high success rate and offers free reinforcement sessions within one month of the initial consultation in the unlikely event that they’re needed. According to the largest-ever scientific comparison of ways of breaking the habit, reported in New Scientist, ‘hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking’.

ANXIETY/STRESS/CONFIDENCE/PHOBIAS/NAIL-BITING
Hypnotherapy is a relaxation-based approach and hence is ideal for treating anxiety- and stress-related issues such as performance anxiety,confidencephobias and nail biting. Clients are taught self-hypnosis and other stress-reduction strategies and have reported lasting changes and feeling far better able to cope with a demanding lifestyle.

FERTILITY
Lisa offers hypnotherapy for fertility issues, having completed 
the Fertile Body Method training course with leading expert Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer, formerly a hypnotherapist at the Zita West Fertility Clinic, the UK’s most successful integrated fertility clinic. Lisa supports clients hoping to conceive naturally or through IVF and has celebrated the birth of numerous babies with their delighted parents. Undergoing hypnosis during implantation has been shown to double the success of IVF treatments from 14% to 28%, according to one study
