The human mind and behaviour have always been an interest for Tanya. She completed a degree in Psychology and Fine Art and then went on to work in a Mental Health facility for six years. In 2009 she began specialising in the Psychodynamic approach, helping clients at a North London Counselling Centre. Currently, Tanya teaches counselling skills on a BACP (British association for counselling and Psychotherapy) accredited post-graduate diploma whilst also working in private practice.

The Psychodynamic approach enables clients to address unresolved conflicts of the past and present. Through this uniquely individual journey, clients are assisted to gain greater insight to their personality and be enabled to create long lasting ways of change in their present behaviour and future choices; achieving healing, acceptance and transformation, thus, significant improvement in life. Tanya believes in an insight-oriented therapy, which will integrate several techniques that are tuned to each individual’s need and pace.

Throughout her career she has worked with and assisted many clients with the following issues:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Loss and Bereavement
  • Relationship issues
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Addiction
